Just a few pics of a poor man's lift with an open center trailer; hey it works!!

So that trailer makes a decent lift, don't have to worry about it falling or coming down.

So what are you doing now with them? Also did you pass the emissions test?

Thats cool. Wouldnt work here as the car hauler has a solid diamond plate deck. But as the saying goes "Work with what you got.":thumbup:

With 818 i am installing alky @a few other things while i have it up "on the lift". # 308 failed again sat on emission (Nox ) new egr valve on the way, if that don't work i will put the stock inj@chip back in , but either way i will make this car pass or moby-dick is a minnow and superman is a punk :aggressive:

Darn emissions!!!

I use four 6 ton jacks for my projects. Only problem is the base of the jack is wide and sometimes gets in the way when working under the car. Also the legs of the engine lift have to be moved around them which is annoying. Alky install is not too bad, sure helps to have a second person while bolting in the pump.

I hope to get a lift in near future.

I see you have a big fan in the shop. Is it that hot out there that you need to keep cool already?? Wow still cool here. I am jelous if that is what you need the fan for.

It was mid-80s here in GA yesterday. Actually, it was in the 80s in Chicago yesterday too! That would be high 20s C for you folks up north! :whistle:

It hurt's when they fall on you (ask me how i know ) this by no mean's is better than a lift but it is doable and safer than jacks, plus you can strap it down (trailer) and bottle jack from the inside to the frame, and they say trailers are just for boats
