Power Steering Pressure

GM systems in the 70s had the relief valves open at about 1600 psi. I would think the TTA system used a similar design. If you are building a hose, higher rating and fittings are always better.

The TTA service manual only tells you how to rebuild the pump etc nothing about the pressure ... 1600 psi do sound like alot but I could be wrong ...
 
I was thinking of replacing the P/S cooling piping behind the front nose with a small cooling coil, but with the pressure anywhere near 1000 psi I will not do that.
I was looking for a place to put a heat exchanger for a water-air Intercooler and I found that it will fit behind the nose without removing the P/S cooling pipe, so I decided to just leave it alone.
