Question for BIGGDOGG

I purchased TTA vin #243831 last September. It has t-tops and cloth interior. PHS sent me a window sticker for it showing leather and #916. Could the sticker be incorrect? My interior is definitely the correct TTa cloth. Also, RPO sticker is not in console. Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

I did look up your option information. A RPO sticker does of course show the 3 digit number letter code relating to either a leather or a cloth interior in the beechwood color. A RPO sticker does not come off without help from humans, either a removal or a replacement with another console that is new without a RPO sticker or a used console that may or may not have a sticker removed. Non-matching VINs would be the key identifier in the case of a swapped console with a RPO sticker intact. Your leather seats or seat covers were removed or replaced. It was my pleasure to look this information up on your behalf. I do have over 32 years of experience owning, buying and selling high interest and collectible automobiles. For many years now I have offered a service to individuals who want to keep from purchasing surprises. It is money well spent for those buyers who want the truth rather than hoping things are correct with their car purchase. I am sorry this happened to you. Do not feel alone, purchasing a non original option vehicle will happen today to hundreds of used car buyers in America.

Best wishes,

Rich

Thank you Rich. From checking past threads, I can see that I am at least the third person to inquire about this car in the last 4 years. No need to feel sorry, however. I bought a nice car with 47k miles for a reasonable price that I drive. Now I won't feel guilty when I put subframe connectors on it.
Thanks again; you've put a 4 year old mystery to rest.

I couldn't post them on the vbgarage, I so figured I'd put them here.
