Question - oil filter

I know this topic has been discussed a lot, but I'd be curious to know what some of you are using for oil filters. Over the years I've typically used AC PF1218 and Fram HP4 without any issues. I thought I had a couple of extras lying around, but I guess I used them up in the past....so I need to pick up some new filters.

My concern is I'm reading a lot on various discussion forums that people are having problems with some of the typical name brand filters now because of poor overseas manufacturing quality resulting in things like inside louvers being almost closed and other things like that.....apparently this includes some peoples experiences with AC, WIX and NAPA........so I'm just wondering if those are isolated experiences or common.

Appreciate anyone's thoughts.

No problem with Wix, i would not put a Fram on my lawn mower

Thanks Robert! There was a time (pre-Internet) when all I could get in my remote area was an HP4, otherwise, I typically used AC filters.

Wix or Napa is fine, I think Wix makes filters for Napa and carquest, from what i heard AC is made offshore now
