Race fuel/ High Octane Gas in the TTA

There is one local gas station (Gas City) that carries racing fuel, it is 100 octane, Rocket Brand Racing Fuel. Is it recommended to run this in a pretty much stock, other than a turbotweak chip, TTA??? I know it is recommended to run at least 93 octane, but will a higher octane harm the engine in any way or just add to the car's performance? Are there any other pros/cons to running the higher octane fuel other than costing more to put it in?

It will most likely smoke your 02 sensor. So keep plenty of those on hand. I know a lot of guys who run alky and race fuel to be safe!

I used to buy 100 octane from Gas City when I lived in Chicago and yes, it's unleaded. A few Clark stations would carry it as well. I used to put it in for the added protection...and because I liked the smell!

Back then it was only like $2.25 to $2.50 a gallon for 100 octane...and we thought that was expensive! What we'd all give now to buy some 93 octane so cheap! But it could be worse. Parts of Europe pay the equivalent of about $7 a gallon, OUCH!

Another reason to run Alky.
