I purchased a fuel pump and hot wire kit from Racetronix. It didn't come with instructions. I emailed them and have gotten no response.:mad2: Any chance someone knows where I can find instructions?

I haven't looked that close at it yet, I may find it's all self explanatory, but there are quite a few parts and I thought instructions would have been nice. Does the hot wire kit just run under the car (zip tied to fuel lines) all the way to the engine compartment?
 
Yep but I did not have it tied to the fuel lines. Mine is completely hidden up under there.

Also, I did not use all of the parts that came with the kit. There was a little baggie (really small) that I did not use.

Otherwise it is plug and play.
 
Knowing there may be parts left over helps.

You should realize that Racetronix "clones" several Caspers wiring kits. Apparently he won't outright clone the Caspers instruction sheet, so he basically gives you none at all.

Caspers, the originator of these items, has always supplied and posted instructions on the website as well as www.installationinstructions.com

This holds true with many of the clones that boy north of the border claims to "invent". Check it out for yourself, do a comparison.

Caveat Emptor.
 
A few years ago I had a walboro fuel pump installed as my second mod (first was computer chip). At the time I really didn't know much about modifying these cars. I also didn't know anything about hot wire kits and didn't use one.

Does my tank need to come out to install the harness or could I just reach over the tank somehow and plug it in? I suppose I should have looked under the car first before asking the question but I had my shop do the pump so I didn't have that "write-of-passage" that everybody has wrenching on their own TTA's. How much time do you think is realistic to install this kit?

I don't know exactly how thirsty this new combo I'm putting together will be. I'm almost to the point of wanting to overhaul the entire fuel system (sump the tank, AN -6 lines, External Pump, fuel rails, injectors, engine management system) but that is going to represent some pretty big $$ and I still need a built trans, rear, and torque arm. What do you guys think, will the hot wire kit be enough for a while? Am I going to come up really short on fuel and if so where is my bottleneck (injectors, rails, lines, pump)?
 
Installing the hot wire kit is straight forward, you just plu it in to an existing plug underneath the car so no need to remove the fuel tank or anything. Take a look at the photos on the Racetronix web site and you can see what needs to be done. Easy 30 min install ...
 
I'm about to undertake this change out this weekend due to my stock pump taking a dump on me last year. I have the racetronix hot wire kit and the 340 pump. Any last minute tips or DIY instructions for either the tank drop or the install? I am lucky to have the use of a lift so Im hoping it shouldn't be too bad. Thx again!

Project completed. I was lucky to have access to a lift. Took me about 5 hours, but that was figuring out how to do everything with minimal instruction.
