Rear End Shot!!!

Well..............

just to add to the list of things to do to the car before the big raod trip my rear end started humming and whinning this weekend so I brought it to the shop this morning. Just got the call telling me the rear end is done, I kinda figured as much from the noise and vibration. I was hoping it was the U-joints or something simple.

I am thinking of getting a strange engineering S60 or maybe a 12bolt or ford 9 inch. but am thinking mostly the S60.

Any opinions???

I am hoping to get this done for the reunion but I dunno. my other car 365 I don't really wanna take that far as it is not that reliable even with the new motor, my ecm fuse keeps blowing on me. If I don't ahve an operational car for the reunion I am gonna be super pissed!!!! I started months ago getting this car ready and still not done. Just too many brake stands I guess....

If it comes down to the nitty gritty, swap out the rears so you can take one to the reunion.

if you are pressed for time, swap the diff from 365 .. just a thought

Yes I think that is what I am going to do and then put my new rear end into 365 to go with the new motor. These old cars... always something.... my mechanic told me I should get a new ZR1 and aviod all these issues. I like the TTA way to much for that even when they drive me crazy like this.

Or....buy a Z06, put $25k in it and have an 800HP monster. :thumbup:

That 100th Anniversary ZR1 is pretty bad ass, just saw one up close this weekend and it looks awesome. Hope you get the rear end fixed.
