Rear Hatch Shocks

Does anyone know for sure if these 1989 GTA rear hatch shocks will work for us? I found them on ebay its something Id like to fix ASAP! http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/181303348505?lpid=82&chn=ps If not Could Someone tell me where to Get the Shocks? TY in advance

I don't have the replacement part number handy however if the applications they list (GTA spoiler) then they will work.

I actually sourced some at Autozone. Just told them I needed rear hatch shocks for a 82-92 Firebird/camaro. Worked fine.

Does the car have a fiberglass spoiler or the original? ... there is quite a weight difference and that could be a factor in the part # selection(?)

I do on mine and the positive effect (I used the stock style hatch shocks) is the hatch actually open very easily ... you do however have to catch it as it flyes open quickly This should hopefully also help lenghtening the life of the shocks (I hope).

Plus you only need one shock if you have a glass spoiler.. using the stock shock.....

I would not recommend doing that as it puts uneven forsces on the hinges specially with the glass hatch being so heavy ... better to evenly support it.
