Rear Seatbelt, Shoulderbelt Guide Question?

When I had my seats recovered a while back I went and picked up the car. They told me they didn't have a chance to mount the rear shoulderbelt guides yet, so being 150 miles away I went and picked up the car. No problem, I am hoping I can find the 2 screw holes under the seatcovers.

Does any one have a drawing or know exactly where the screws should go?


As you will notice in the pictures I have my spare cargo cover in place, that way I can save my cloth one. The spare cover is of the vinyl type and works great.:beach:
 
Mike - that leather is kind of thick. But if you run your fingertips over the area, maybe you could possibly feel the holes? I would imagine that measurements might be tough due to production tolerances, but if you have no luck, I will go out to the garage and unwrap the old girl from her winter's nap and measure for you. I'll snap a few pics for you too.

Thanks, Just another winter thing to do added to my list. I will try to locate the holes with my fingers, but the leather and carpet in the area is kinda thick.

I am hoping Jan will chime in, I bet he know exactly where the screws go down to the last mm.
 
Mike - I think I remember that those have a zipper on them IIRC. Maybe you could unzip it a little bit to see where the holes are. There is always Jan though...
 
Yes, they have a zipper but it is at the bottom of the back of the seat. And the guides mount at the side near the top.
 
I looked thru my old pictures and took one of the metal frame. The 2 holes at the right of the picture are the seat belt guides. Not very useful, but thats all I have. Good luck.

Edit: I found this picture also. The seat on the left is the old one-you can see the marks.

After looking at the pics, if I could locate the rivet sort of speak, it looks like it might be centered between the 2 guide bolts.
 
Big help Robert, it shows alot. Just need to find those holes underneath the seat carpet. I thought about using a large pin like a hat pin to find the holes.
 
It was an easy job, just took a few minutes finding the screw holes and installation.

Felt the center rivet with my fingers underneath carpet. I used sharp pointed scissors to find the holes, did the top one first then the bottom one last.

Used 30 torx bit for installing screws. Had to remove the cargo cover to do the work.

Sorry guys, late to the game as I've been away this past week (sunny Florida for work) and just had a few min to read new posts ...
