Relay under the hood release pull

I just got my car and there is a momentary contact switch under the dash that must be held down when cranking in order to start the car. I was told it was a theft deterent. I traced it back to a relay that is behind the panel directly under the hood release by the drivers left foot. This is a large relay with a big green/white wire, a big yellow wire, a small green wire, and a small yellow wire. The switch grounds the small green wire.

Can any one with a wiring diagram or knowledge of this let me know what it is please.

ya know I was just lookin at my nuetral safety switch and those are the colors of thie wires going into it, but there are two more as this has 6. But maybe it is hooked into it or something?? Jarred.

Thanks! Looks like I have a bad pass key decoder and this is was their way of bypassing it.

Might be the chip in the key that is bad (or not making good contact) or the switch in the steering column as they go bad and the cables wear out and break so that might be the reason they bypassed VATS ... not necessarily the module that is gone
