what do you guys think, old man that sold me the trailer said receiver ball should be a min 18 inchs off the ground, it is but it put the trailer at a angle, i drove it about 5 miles, seems fine
 
Looks good, you should have no problem.

I should be getting into Ohio around noon on friday and should be to the track area around 2 pm, see you there.
 
You need to buy a hitch that drops more then that.

You will have trailer sway issues and you are severly loading the rear tires. More tongue weight is better.

Fwiw, my ball is 16.5" off the ground. I use a 1/4" rise for my truck, 2" drop for a Yukon, and I imagine your truck would need a 4"
drop probably.
 
Looking at it more it isn't that drastic but perfectly level is ideal. I'd get another ball mount with a level of 17"ish

i have one with a 3 inch drop (2 inch on now), but damn i would have to unload the car, unhook the trailer to change it :disgust:
 
Yeah,put the 3"drop on it and call it a day.Use your floor jack and lift the trailer(with) the car and change the mount.

And lock those ratchet(s) on your tie downs...they are not fully folded into the lock position.
 
thanks guys, i think i will leave here around 3 to 4 am that way i can join that smooth atl traffic, anybody need help along the way (75 all the way)just call my cell#770- 301 1667, hopefully i want need any !:toot: one more day !!
 
Looks much, much better!

I have been through ATL at midnight on a sunday and been stuck in traffic...worst traffic I have ever seen. I'll be heading back down to Athens the 1st week in August.
 
Got mine all loaded up, borrowing a trailer from a friend who was nice enough to paint the trailer so that it matches the TTA perfectly. Sorry for the huge pictures, they're straight off my phone and I'm too lazy to resize them.

I can't believe how many guys have trailers. I think when I retire, I am going to move someplace really rural, buy a big piece of land, build a huge garage and buy a trailer to haul all of my toys around. Hope to see everybody and their cars soon. I am traveling without mine, but I am pretty psyched to see all the people I have conversed with on these boards over the past year.
 
Had a pretty nasty storm roll through this morning, luckily the TTA made it through alright but I'll probably have to wipe up any leaks on the inside. I was able to find copies of the scanned magazine articles last night so I'll be bringing that with me for who ever wants to host them. It's gunna take me a little over 5 hours so I'm hoping to be there between 1 and 2.
 
Jared, enjoy bouncing down the roads from Indy all the way. I thought I was going over railroad tracks. Poor trailer.....
