Roll Call: Low mileage, survivor Turbo Trans AM's

Hello Fellow 1989 Pontiac 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans AM Enthusiasts & Owners:

I thought it would be neat to start a 'roll call' to see who owns what is not necessarily the lowest mileage 1989 Turbo Trans AM, as we know there are some incredible examples out there under 3000 miles but examples of some low mileage ones that say haven't even been PDI'ed by the dealer or are original owner examples with low mileage and have been stored and preserved spareingly. ie: does anyone own a example where the plastic is still on the carpets from the factory and was never removed by the dealer and white part # sticker still on the rims and markings and other stickers still on the catalytic converter and chassis underneath.

Please post and tell us about your Turbo Trans AM and if possible add pictures of your pride and joy especially if you have detailed pictures showing things like the stickers never having been removed from the wheels during the dealer PDI or if you car has never been PDI'ed by the dealer at all. As these incredible cars are now quickly approaching the 25 year mark in a few years, their collectibility, value and overall originality will increase and people will be looking for more information on reference grade 'survivor', low mileage, original cars. Thank you and look forward to seeing some incredible posts.

I believe that the car which used to be near St.Louis and I think was somewhat recently sold had like 12 miles on it. Jim and Jan will be able to chime in with several people who are probably on here but never post with TTAs with 200 miles or less on them.
 
There is a guy with a tta with only 18 miles. He has a couple tta's and a bunch of GNs. I think he is on the TB board.
 
I can look through my list for all cars with less than 2000 miles on them ...

I had pretty much every factory sticker reproduced with the help of owners on this and other boards with low milage TTAs .. Reason for getting them all done was for restoring my TTA ... Many others have since also ordered the repro stickers for their cars which is good as I put a lot of time and effort into that project still missing two stickers I'm aware of ... One goes onto the engine oil pan (driver side with a bar code) and the other on the transmission (got a photo of one but not good enough to reproduce it).

When I'm home next I'll post some links and other info for you all
 
Locally I've seen three ultra low survivors 50, 74, 80. Two were owned by the same guy.

Jan: Looking at your restoration photos, your car looks better than new!
I did my Bee that way with all the powdercoating and plating of the fasteners. If your going to do it do it right.

Thanks Kid, lots of time and effort in that one ... improved on what the factory missed out on due to cost :-) Will have some really good professional photos to share within the next couple of month just have to wait for them to have been published here in a UK car magazine first ... hint hint
 
Got about 30 TTA's with less than 2000 miles on them in my records ... and about 10 with 100 miles or less ... don't have milage details of more than maybe 300 or so TTA's at the moment

Thanks Jan for you posts and WOW! 30 TTA's with less then 2000 miles and maybe 10 with less then a 100 miles, that's incredible! It will be exciting to see if many or any of the owners bring any of these incredible time capsules to the TTA reunion next year! I for one as a detail and numbers freak can look at cars like that all day long! As the old saying goes they are only original once. Thanks again for your input! :)
 
A large # of low mileage TTAs doesn't surprise me at all. I'm certian thare are a lot more in hibernation. By the time these were made everyone wanted a muclecar collectible. Like the GNX not hard to find a low mileage example. The GNXs are finally bringing big bucks. The bad thing to me about the ultra low mile cars is that you have to pay a premium to buy one and if you drive it you'll lose some $ fast.
That's why I bought one that I wont mind driving.
