Hey I have an after market heat sheild and air intake tubing and I dont think they are chrome plated, but they were shinny once upon a time...

The tubing has some scratches on it and the heat shield has little droplet marks/ stains on the metal from when I blew my head gasket and collant spilt all over it.

WHat is the best way to clean these up and get the shine on them again??

I tried some polisher from my parents but that did nothing.
SOrry for the dumb question, I just wanna clean up my engine bay.

Your MAF pipe, up pipe, and heat shield look polished and the MAF cover and intake pipe look chromed. So for the polished pieces I would suggest picking up some Mother Metal Polish in the red and white little tin. While this won't be a permanent fix it'll be a good maintenance product. If you want to try to seal them you're going to need something along the lines of zoop-seal but I would just keep the maintained for the best apearance in my opinion.
