spare tire

The orig to the TTA has the aluminum rim. I bought the whole assembly off someone and had them check the rim with a magnet to make sure it was aluminum before I bought it.
 
Just an FYI - I took my spare tire out today to make sure it was correct, and I found it is a 15 inch spare. I thought it might not be the correct one so I did a little research on TGO, and found out the correct rim is an aluminum painted 15 inch rim. I checked mine with a magnet and it is aluminum. The tire size should be P195/75-D15
 
Yep it's a 15" spare ... rim looks like the regular 14" steel rim but put a magnet too it as mentioned and you can see it's aluminium ... this is the only spare that do clear our front brakes if you ever need to use it so having the correct size/type spare back there helps lol

Hi can somebody post a pic of the blue inflator cylinder. Looking for the GM part number on the label. It should also say that it fits a P195/75D 15 tire.

I am also missing this part.

Bob, per the GM parts and illustration guide the correct inflator bottle for our spare (N64) is part number 9590679.

Unfortunatly this number don't show up anywhere doing a quick search so most likely discontinued years ago. Ebay would be a good source.
Here's one I found quickly that most likely is correct as it says its out of a 1991 car: 82-92 Camaro/Firebird SPARE TIRE INFLATOR TUBE 91 90 89 | eBay

I have a question: Could I use a full size spare tire on the car. If yes what size and type of rim and tire would I need? I know the front and back rim offsets are different.

I guess you can as long as it's a 15 or even a 16 inch rim .. if 195 wide tyre then the offset etc would not matter for front rear (as long as the rim is not too wide).

Problem with a full size spare is where you would store it in the car?
 
I was thinking that if I would put the car on a trailer and go out of state with it. I throw the spare on the trailer. Not sure I trust a 22 year old spare to inflate correctly.

Will the standard firebird alluminum wheel fit both front and rear?
 
Can somebody check there spare tire inflator cylinder and verify what tires are listed on it. I got one off of e-bay it is the correct GM part# 9590679. However I think it came off an earlier car. It has a P205 75D 15 tire listed not the P195 75D 15. Just want to make sure this is the correct cylinder.
