Super Lucky Find

Hey look what I found just down the street from me. What a super lucky find, I had to buy it. I got it from a dentist downsizing his collection. The guy had for I think 7 years?? Came from Florida before him. I thought I was the only TTA obsessed person around these parts.

I am gonna call this my birthday present to myself, for justification purposes. After all how often do you see an ultra low mile hard top cloth car?? The way I see it, I didn't really have a choice, I had to buy this, as I am sure all of you would have done the same.

This is TTA 1322, all original, even got the gators....

Wow ... great car. I have a lead on one as well that I'd like to pick up in the states. Less than 10K miles ... would it be too rude to ask you to PM me to let me know what you paid so I have a base line to work with?

there is 938 original miles on this car. and ya know I paid almost the same as I did for TTA 1130 T-top Leather with 1206 original miles at time of purchanse (2007). Kinda hard to relate a comparison as I had no tax, no shipping, no conversion between usd and cad, no registration or insurance to get it to my place. The only thing I don't like is the front license plate.... not my style, but cool I guess as my other cars don't have one.

Congrats, nice find!!! Dean's old car :-) Steve Hoffman was the original owner down in Ft. Lauderdale FL ....

Share some detailed photos when you have time and again congrats on a really nice rare TTA !

The low mile tta that I bought from mike massey has always had very little fuel in it, infact it even ran out of gas while going onto the shipping truck. I run the car at idle and bring it up to temp and maybe put on a mile or so about every month. In the winter I don't drive it though, and I just put in a little bit of gas at a time using a jerry can. I don't drive it to the gas station.

As for the new arrival I can't be sure how often the fuel was changed. I am going to treat this car the same as my other low mile car.

Thanks guys!! I really wanted a cloth seat car, was thinking of the one at Dave Dehenys classic car lot, its a festival car with 3000 miles. But this car was just offered up to me right in front of my face it was too easy.

Ya I spelt it wrong, sorry man. Go to www.columbiamotors.com and it is Dave Delaney's car lot. Look in the Classic Car section. Speak to Dave himself if you are interested in buying the car. He has listed for 45k but I am sure from speaking to him he will let it go for less. Good luck man, it is a nice festival car he has.

The car owner was a member of turbobuick but not here I don't think. Yes I do plan on keeping the front plate, I have nothing else to fill the holes in the nose of the car so... ya.

Very nice find and very nice car! I'd love a hard top cloth someday! I found my TTA 1 mile from my house so I know the feeling when you just "have" to buy it or kick your self in the ass for the rest of your life!! :)

I also have a cloth/hardtop #6 and the first hardtop built (6K miles). I wonder how many of the 15 hardtop/cloth cars we can track down? Congrats on the find.

I dunno - if you truly wanted the plate gone, I guess I'd buy an OEM or NOS front nose piece, have it painted, and put the original one up and away in storage.

and btw - damn nice rare car - I'm envious!

Thanks guys, I really do feel lucky to have found such a car. I did not really plan to buy this. I am surprised that everything works on the car, thought for sure the power antenna would have gone or something??

I was looking at a 94 25th anny or a 30th anny but now I am glad I didn't buy one of those cause I would not have had any room for this car. I really love the TTA way more than a 94 or 99. Cause they are so cool to drive.

Rusty I dunno anyone else other than you with a hard top, there was one on ebay with white door handles a few months ago, but some guy scooped it up already when I called the seller. White door handles would be so cool.

Signiture shows hardtop/cloth #1456

That makes six of the 15 that I know of, does anyone else know of more? I read somewhere that one was in a fire and destroyed.

Ya I thought onw was wrecked or something. WOW I can't believe that vanman has so many cars..... I want his job. and a 19 mile tta, that is just crazy, really truely crazy, how does he exercise that car???

tta850 having all four combo's is pretty dam cool, I like that idea.

I think I am good for buying cars for now, and for a while, I have no more room anyway.

can u send that dealer's info with the festival car? thanks ... I am interested. u can PM me if you don't want to post it.
