I,M having a problem with one of my TTAs.It
sat for a long time and the battery went down.I put a new battery in but when I turn
the key the ignition lights come on along with the security light that just flashes, It does not crank over. It was fine prior to this happening. Any ideas would be appreciated. [email protected]

Your key has a small sensor in it that needs to make a good connection in the ignition switch. If you've ever had a spare Ignition key made at your local hardware store, you paid about $20 for it. Some people call it a chip. Don't know for sure, but I don't think it's an actual chip.

Wrong Key, Bad Key, or Bad Ignition Switch. I've seen this on previous 3rd gen f-bodies.

You mentioned "One of your TTAs". Wrong key?

Let us all know what the deal was. It'll be one more entry for my personal database.
