This is how a TTA sounds when u blow a HG

I had a similar sound when I blew 2 headgaskets at once. But I had no piston damage though. And it would smoke something fierce going down the road and oil came out of vent pipe on driver valve cover and went everywhere. What a mess!!

this one blew to the outside. You could still have a blown hg check oil for coolant an do a compression check

No Alky, with alot of boost=detonation. Blown headgaskets or worse. I know I learned my lesson.

I usually run race gas in that car at the time no alky ... forgot ! just had 93 and who knows how much boost stock gauge was maxed. All this happend near 140mph sounded like a shotgun

This is to all the new member's on here, if you cannot afford to or understand how to install a Scanmaster, FPgauge, boost gauge, then this might not be the car for you; not trying to sound like a ass but the lesson above await's you if you lack basic skill's, good thing is bout' all you need to know is in this forum if you have the patience and persistence to learn it and dig for it but if you don't like working on car's you need deep pocket's with a TTA.... just a thought...:bye1:

Must agree basic skills is needed or extra money, and it adds up fast, if you dont do it yourself.

Good advice Robert. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Respect the car and it will not let you down.
