What are the largest tires I Can put on the rear of a 89TTa. On a stock rim.And are any other rims that look good on that car besids the the stock ones. Thanks Nick

The widest 16" tires made are 255/50/16. This is what I run on the rea on the stock wheels. I run 245's on the front for clearence issues. You will see just a little rubbing with the 245's on the front. Now if you decide to move up to 17's. With the right offset wheel,...315/35/17's will fit on a 17x11 wheel,...but IMHO look a little bulky. A much better fit would be 285/40/17's on a 17x9 wheel.
