I will also be getting it dynoed and tuned. Will be running slicks.

Who here thinks I will run low to mid 11s? Thinking 20-22 lbs of boost. If no knock.

I was thinking that with the proper tune you should be able to push your way into the high 11's. That's my 2 cents and hope you have fun getting there no matter what. :)

not sure where all this came from, including the title to this thread, ... BUT keep it clean and if for whatever reasons there's any personal issues use PM or pick up the phone please ...

Keep your vulgarity off this site.

Quicky One knows more about these cars than you ever will.

X 2. I've met many of these guys in person at the reunion and no one ever had a harsh word. I think Quicky and WS6 and others are just trying to help you. Dont get so defensive.

A lot of times things look real good on paper (or in your engine bay), but running the car and tuning it in can take some time, knowledge and practice. Dont burn your bridge because you may need to ask for some more advice.

13.0 @ 107 mph, maybe 12.8's with a good 60'

Why the title, haters? Your 18 years old... Are you and your high school friends smoking the grape flavored blunts?

Joe

First off I apologize for the vulgarity. 2nd I would hope a grown man knows more since I'm only 18 and had the car for only a year. BUT if you think after all this I will run only 12.8 ouch you are wrong. And I'm not a pot head sir do don't make assumptions about me. Why r u taking about weed on a car forum you scum bag. Sorry I'm not a 50 yr old pot head. Yuck

it's just you all think I'm a dumbass bc I'm 18.

It probably has more to do with the fact that you title a thread "to all the haters out there" and use obscenities in your posts. This is not that kind of site. Most of us are in our 30, 40's and 50's. You should find a site that attracts people your age if you are going to act like that.

I agree that we are not here to point fingers, but some comments and the title of this thread says things about your attitude. You are giving those of us from Chicagoland area a bad name. I stand by my numbers that you should be able to push high 11's out of that set up if it is tuned correctly with 22 pounds of boost based of my experience of having 3 of these already with similar setups. Age doesn't make you dumb, but certain comments and the way you talk to others in this forum would make anyone of us look dumb if we spoke that way. We appreciate the younger generation to take interest in these cars and welcome you and wish you well in achieving your goals. Good luck sir and enjoy the ride. :)

So I'm probably gonna get kicked off if here bc of my posts. I'm sorry. But don't call me a pot head I don't do that shit. Ur just stereotyping.

I ask a serious question and some guy rudley replies "good luck" like I'm a piece if shit. I take this very very serious I love my car.

I ran 12.3s in my GN with similar mods and stock turbo, the 49 turbo is slight more efficient than the stocker, so if you know how to tune the methanol inj and the timing to get 24+ boost then mid 11s are possible or better with drag slicks I would think, but the tune has to be spot on. Need some laptop scan tool and a wide band to get it there. One mistake could be disaster thought. Really need a bigger turbo to make it easy on ya and some stall.

To answer the question in the first post, I'm guessing your combo will get you a 11.90's if it's tuned dead on balls and you hook up. With that said, I've yet to meet anyone at any drag strip that rips off the number they want or the car will actually run on the first drive down the strip.

Don't be discouraged if you run a 13.10. It's a process. If you get enough turns to go down the track you may leave that day with an 11 second slip.

I wouldn't be in a hurry either with tuning. Take it in small increments.

Absorb the journey.:arab:
