Tragic

:jaw: :wtf: Thats sad, there should be exceptions to those rules. Good thing the Cash for Clunker's is over now. Wonder how many other nice cars received there fate like that. What a clueless owner!!!!!

After hearing about some of the cars that get exchanged for this, one has to wonder why the dealer didn't simply buy the car themselves. Some people were just throwing money away with this program.

While I hate that the car was killed off the person who thinks that car was getting 8-10k on ebay needs a reality check. There are plenty of those same cars going on ebay for under 5k ... plenty.

I know of a '95 vette convert with 45k miles. The guy lost his job and had a new kid on the way. His wife's '98 lumina w/135k did not qualify, so they c4cd the vette thinking they would get value + $4500. He was dead wrong and said he almost cried when they said they have to seize the motor. The paperwork was singned so there was no turning back. He was furious because the dealer miss lead him on how much he would get back and hurried the deal. I wonder how many other dealers did the same to get their cut of the money. He ended up with a Hundi Santafe:censor:

Its your money they are throwing away:eeks:

Sounds like fraud to me ... but the guy with a '95 Vette to think that CFC was to get your trade in price PLUS $4500 sounds almost too stupid to be true. Didn't he see the sales contract before signing? Now that I think about it I don't believe this story. JMHO

That’s what my friend told me, he works at Vision Hyundai and was there when they killed the car! There a lot of people out there that are desperate and wanted to get the money before the Gov. pulled it. How many people read fine print ? When I purchased the GXP I cruised through the paperwork, didn’t read all the fine print, just what i thought was important! The Question is Why did the vette owner not just pull out of the deal and say no thanks when he found out he was not getting value plus $4500? sounds to me like the owner didn’t really care. I did see the remains of that vette in their back lot, along with a older caddy and a nice suburban!
