:bye2::bye2: hey guys just thought id let you know 850 is no longer mine...it was a tough decision but i had to clean house first was my IROC...then my denali was killin me on gas and always needed work...it was a grade A pos...so i needed somethin new with cheaper monthly payments and better gas mileage (was avg bout 9mpg city/ 13mpg highway on the denali) i went to dodge and fell in love with the new charger r/t road n track package in toxic orange...so i had to sacrifice the tta because i was upside down on the value of my denali...but i lowered my payment and gas in the hemi shld be much better thanks to active fuel managment and way more reliable than the iroc tta and denali as an everyday car....i am gonna miss the car terribly but more importantly im gonna miss the tta brotherhood

im hopin the tta goes to a good owner...one who has the time and money to care for it...cuz right now i just dont

hopefully when school is done and im back on my feet ill surely be lookin for another one
(i did collect alot off stuff for it lol)

Stay around man! I always enjoyed the comapny.

I won't get into financials, but I hope the decision works out for ya. Furthering education usually will pay high dividends.

Sorry ya had to do it, i'm sure it was a tough decision for ya. There will always be other cars to buy, but education is big. GOOD LUCK ...

Sorry you had to let it go, but remember how much fun you had. You'll be back, education comes first though. I was lucky enough that my parents got me my TTA then paid for my education. I'll never let go of my TTA as long as I can. You'll be back, we all know you're hooked now that you've tried out the turbo power

Too bad, Hate that for you. I know you are a fan of the TTA.
Your new ride is cool daily D.
K&N and a free-dup exhaust and it begins again!

Shit, a procharger and nitrous and you'll be in the 11's.

Dom - do you really think a Charger RT is going to be fuel efficient?

well i was a little skeptical at first...but im very very impressed ive put on about 380 miles and have not had to fill up yet, i still have a little over a quarter of a tank to go....i knw i cldve but some cheap 35mpg car but there is 2 problems with that one a big guy so i needed a big car n the charger is huge, two after selling all my toys just to keep some sort of sanity i had to have a fun car that held muscle car roots but was practical...the charger is the only car in that market

what really helps is the active fuel managment that cuts the car into 4 cylinders when cruising and during most normal driving styles, as long as im not mashing the pedal im avg according to the computer about 20 to 22 mpg, which when comapred to the 12mpg i was gettin in the denali is huge for me

i looked at the regals n cruise but they were to uncomfortable
basically i see the charger as a happy median for me
the price was great (lowered my monthly payment by 120 per month)
its a technologically modern muscle car and most importantly its very reliable
unlike my roc or tta

Haven't been on for a couple days-read this and was totally bummed. As others have said, you are a big fan and you will get another someday. Good luck with the education (very important these days), enjoy the new ride and stick around.

Sorry to hear it but it sounds like your doing what you have to do to get yourself in a better position, in the long run thats much more important than a TTA :)

Well, if it had of been me the TTA would have been spared. Because it was my girlfriends dad's old car and she would have kicked my butt if I was to get rid of it in any way.

I know the feeling about trading in cars to get somthing more practical. I traded my G8 GT, for a SMART CAR. and no I am not joking.... I am also tired of getting pointed at. At least in the G8 it was cool to be pointed, no I feel Lame.

A Smart Car-aren't those things a little scary?? They seem so small and vunerable. I get the alternative fuel thing and I'm all for that (I have a 10k solar grid), but I would feel really unsafe in a Smart car unless I was always the only one on the road.

lol I didnt buy it to be green. i bought it because it was funny. now the joke is back on me. As far as safety much more safe than a lot of other cars out there. but yea if you get hit by a escalade it will hurt no matter what your in
I only put about 1k miles on it since I work in my home office. and cant fit my family in there haha. It will be traded in soon though.

I totally understand your decision. Many of us have probably gone through the same thing. I traded my 95 trans am convertible back in 05 for a new 2006 corolla S. Mainly for gas mileage since gas prices jumped up to around $3-4 a gallon back then and I was driving close to 100 miles a day. The money I saved in gas made the new car payment. Unfortunately I still regret getting rid of that car. But with rising gas prices now I'm glad I have the corolla. At least your new ride still has muscle car heritage and should definitely be more comfortable for you. The TTA is not a comfy car for a big guy. I'm glad I got a chance to meet you and if you can you should try yo come out for.the reunion. And let me know if you bring the charger down for the.Mopar Nats at carlisle.

I found TTA #850 for sale here in NY at Security Dodge in Amityville on Long Island For $13891. I guess it was traded in there.

1989 Pontiac Firebird for sale in Amityville, NY – Security Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram

How much they gave for the trade in? Maybe i can get it cheap. I just don't know if I have the time or space though. I have been looking for one of these for years and have actually spoken to Steve, the second owner, a few time before he sold it. Decisions!
