I wrote this up a long time ago and completely forgot about it. I just found it today while I was browsing my external HD so I thought I'd post it. It could probably use some corrections and maybe a better format, but I thought I'd share. If someone wants to take it and make some changes go for it, I always thought it'd be something useful for new owners. After a couple weeks I'll go back and update everything and then if you guys think it could be helpful we can make a sticky with it (although we already have a lot).
