Flowmaster muffler has the baffled design. Baffled muffs slow exhaust velocity. Straight thru muff are the best choice for a turbo car.

Just wanta note... going slightly off topic... This 4" catback is awesome. Overkill, but IS the best flowing catback/muff available for our cars. Magnaflow makes the best straight thru muffler FYI. Denny at Mufflex totally blew me away with his knowledge and customer support for my custom exhaust setup. Denny knows his chit.

Sounds great too!

My car has a flowmaster on it too< and I have been wanting to change to something better. I have been talking to some friens that run blowers on their cars asking what would be good on a turbo. My problem is I love the look of the stock tail pipes and anything that is going to flow the best would be a single exit exhaust which i hate the look of. My one friend swears up and down about Bassani Xhaust. Anybody ever use it on a TTA? I know they don't make them for 3rd gen F-bodys, but a universal should work. They sound great on his 03 Cobra but not sure how they would sound in a TTA. I want to do some more research on exhaust so if I find anything out,I will let you know Adam.

Does anybody know anything about Spin Tech. That's another brand that I keep hearing about, and want to look into.

I hake the hooker cat back on my car now i like the slightly oversized rear tips. i bought a dynomax SS muffler for the straight through design havent installed it yet

I've got a high flow cat with Magnaflow muffler and kept stock tips. All good and sounds pretty good for a 6 Cylinder. Friends have even thought it was a big ole clunky V8 under the hood until I opened it and showed them.

thank you all for the input and i will look in to all those mufflers , yes the 4 in is out there but man its cool . the sound i have now is really good , and i also like the stock look . i sell borla, installed one on a 02 ta it was cool how u change baffels . it was to quite one way and to loud the other .so ill look in to all , and down load sound bites .Nick ill check out those name for you aswell .

I have the 3.5" system with the Magnaflow muffler from Denny at Mufflex and I am very happy with it. I also had him do a high flow, spun catalytic converter. The system fit flawlessly.

i did alot of research yesterday and spoke with borla and magnaflow wow they just want to sell a muff to me no systems out there any more . thanks for all the input today ill speak with Denny i hope .

i have dynomax on mine and they sound pretty descent no drone which is always a plus...right now i have the plate off the dump tube lol sounds awesome at ideal...driving it is a different story lol puttin it back on this weekend...i heard a gn with flowmasters and i must say it sounded awesome...maybe we can get some exhaust clips for different brands so we can all get an idea

well guys installed magnaflow ss muff and its way quite , the flowmaster sounded much better . left the muff shop , almost turned around , boosted a little and man o man it boosted so quick , i was shocked! ill keep it, but its so quite . it really did help ......

Great idea BigDom.

When Spring time rolls around or from now... We should post and make a STICKY of different exhaust tones on the TTA's.

We should include the motor modifications as well.

Joe

that is a great idea, you can ever hear what exhaust sounds like on TTA or any turbo buick because nobody has any sound clips. That would definitely make life easier when deciding a new exhaust system. After I do My exhaust I will take a sound clip and post it, also before I change it from the flowmaster to the new system.
