TTA vs. GNX

All my friends think gnx will wax the TTA. I'm saying it will be the same race. Neck in neck. Maybe TTA will even win. What's the real answer already?

I don't recall ever seeing a TTA in stock form back in the day, but I did see at least two GNX's, They barely made it out of the 14's. One was 13.89 the other was 13.90's. Back then it was just easy to point out that they weren't worth the extra 10K. The only TTA that I can recall seeing was a MI car that was referred to as the Gunslinger. I've heard that the car is still alive and possibly owned by his son Shawn Sullivan? I only name drop in case he is on here or someone know him.

In the race to the bank to buy one... a TTA is clearly easier to pay for

Yeah, instead of a GNX, a used "new-ish" Z06 is the best bang for the buck, I've been seeing some examples with 45K+ Miles for around the same $$$ as GNX. Some as low as $36K for a 06'. A solid 500 hp on pump gas. All the money you save on using regular fuel you can put into a "turbo fund":toot:

I know someone who just ran a reg c6 went high 8.40's .. I drove a c5 with 230k miles stock everything to 8.41 1/8 an 13.01 1/4

Find someone in NC and I will race the stock TTA aginst a stock GNX

TTA will trap a higher speed due to better aerodynamics. TTA will run circles around it on the street stock for stock. Braking and handling goes to the TTA as well, hands down!

I just ran 8.16 @83.5 in my TTA last weekend. It has a K&N, chip, & exhaust and is running 15.5 psi boost. Last time I had my '08 C6 automatic out it ran 8.11 @92.5 in the 1/8 and 12.32 @116.9 in the quarter. It was stock other than aftermarket mufflers. I did order it with the optional gear which is all of 2.79 if I remember correctly.

Back to the original topic - Even if the GNX is faster, I would much rather have the TTA.
