Turbo elbows

Higher flowing/less restrictive exhaust elbow for stock turbo and DP. Who makes'em, where can I get'em?

Why not just get a whole down pipe with an elbow from Jim Dunn? That would be high flowing/ less restrictive

Not looking to go 3" did that once, what a nightmare. Never got it to fit right, banging around causing false knock and all sorts of other issues. Don't need 3" until your in the 11's anyway. Looking to do it the old fashioned way, adjust boost, fuel pressure, no cat, new injectors and pump and drag radials. Just like they did it in the '90's. Fast enough for me with a 23 year old collectable anyway. If I want more speed I got my G8 with the 6.2 LS3 that I can dick with. That beast put down 360 HP to the wheels bone stock with 1100 miles on it. Hard to beat an LS motor these days, just ask Steve. Thanks for the input though, forgot about Dunn.

Limit Turbo use to do them.. Or do it yourself.

What does Limit do? Do they just port stock core returns or do they have a re designed unit? If I were to do myself I would assume you are talking about porting my stock elbow correct?

Jim Dunn/Mease 3" DP fits perfectly. No false knock issues or rubbing/tapping issues... You won't believe how well it fits...

He sells the 3" Stainless elbow too i think. Around $250 last I checked. Fab yourself...

You can port the elbow yourself Tony. I have the tools if you need them... just stop over. I did mine.

Rocker her with the stocker... :headbang:

NO 3"!:bash:(thats what she said:eeks:) I got a pretty much stock motor so increasing diameter of the DP .5" is not going to do much, it didn’t before, it just caused knock readings. The restriction is in that damn 90* elbow. I’ve seen the bigger turbos with straighter off the side style exhaust elbows, I think ATR made one but it had their crappy internal wastegate as part of it. Someone has to make one for a stock turbo to stock DP and flange

Sure you dont need it but spool up is increase for the street when changing to the 3". We are lucky someone makes special dp & ic's for our cars.

Mid 11's thru stock DP/elbow? Whats that te44 or pt52 @ 26/27+ boost,transbake...

Seems to me you will need a lot off extra mods...if you are going to use the stock junk to go that fast. Especially with a small turbo for the stock stuff. You gotta run really really high boost and have other bolt ons to go that fast with stock setup. Am I wrong Dan?

I think you will be wasting your time and money to fab a stocker. You will basically get your money back if you decide to sell the nice 3" stainless steel dp + dump pipe. Dunn/Mease or Steve K./Mease could stop making these tomorrow...you never know! Then watch the demand $$ rise!

44 turbo 22#s of boost.. stock motor and trans (has a shift kit) and intercooler. We worked with stock stuff back then. This isn't rocket science. ;-)
