Turbo questions about adapting to a 350. Holler back

Hey i was wondering about puting a 301 turbo unit on a 78 chevy 350 or any other motor for that matter. Will it work or is the turbo unit just for the 301?

The turbo unit by itself could work, but none of the plumbing will. Everything will have to be fabracated new.
Alot of people who do conversions over to turbos use diesel turbos. They say you can find them in the junk yards. I never could!
