honestly I think the signatures hurt the car. If I buy an all original or pure stock restored car I don't want to get something with some associated racers signature on it. Not worth $450k in my mind.

Its an awesome TA. But 450K! Man I know a local guy who bought a 69 ram air III with a 4-speed about five year ago for 20K. Not as nice as this car. But its gets in the top 3 at judged shows.

Damn I love that car. I had a chance to buy one about 8 years ago that was "pristine" for $41,000 bucks. I wish I would've.

I'd still like one, but doubt I can find one in my price range.

You've got a very nice car!
I had a 1969 Trans Am sold out from under me, at a dealership.
They wrote up a bill of sale, I had left a deposit, and when I went back on Monday (all this was done on a Sunday, when banks were closed) with the rest of the money, the car was gone, the salesman was gone, and there was an envelope with my down payment there for me.
I was so mad!
Within a few weeks, I bought my 1970 Lucerne Blue 4 speed Trans Am with a Ram Air IV top end (Ram Air III bottom).
I got the rest of the Ram Air II parts within a few weeks from the guy.
I am glad I have my 1970, but I still wish I had that 1969 Trans Am!

nice looking car. I love the 69 Trans Ams, but I never really liked the 69 Firebirds. I think I just prefer the full chrome bumper on the 67 and 68s when the car is a solid color.

Thanks for the kind words. My '69 is a RAIII 4speed car PHS docummented as being delivered by "the Pontiac Retail Store" in Pontiac Michigan. It has a completly numbers matching drive train. Hope to get it finished up this year.

None of the eight 1969 Convertible Trans Ams have sold for $450K. They have sold in the $300K's over the years and sometimes slightly below $100K. Of course there are only 7 of the 8 remaining with all models being Ram Air III. I would love to see the Pontiacs selling for big money like the common Camaro does.

Glenn,

There were 4 Automatics and 4 4Spds; and I believe you are correct that the missing 69 T/A Convertible is an Automatic (Ram Air III of course). I believe that many years ago Milton Robson owned all three of the Automatics at one time.
