yes it is a cat back Magnaflow exhaust ,yes have a lot of work done to it put in all new floors pans front to back then sprayed the hole undercarriage with a truck bed liner you can eat off the undercarriage ,tubular control arms,cross drilled rotors all around ,calipers ,lowering springs,new gas tank,new fuel sending unit.rear end freshened up,all fuel lines,brake lines and the list goes on.All nuts and bolts were redone also ,still need to tackle a few other little things almost done.
 
Haha, mine looks like someone strapped an m80 to a gallon container of used oil and chucked it under the car.. severely neglected by the HACKS that owned it prior to me. Just rebuilt the motor and got it back up and running and it's out for paint now. When it comes back, I'll be tackling the underside...

that's funny when you get a chance post some pictures .
 
I'll have to try to remember to take some before I clean it. The engine bay and k member have been cleaned and I just rebuilt the motor, so all that is clean, but from the trans back is kind of nasty. Like I said, the previous owner was a complete hack. Neglected and abused the hell out of the thing- was in an accident that took out the drivers quarter, rear bumper cover and drivers tail light- but he spent $3k to have a Holley HP put in it so he could "make it fast". Had a forged piston motor with hand ported heads but he overheated the crap out of the thing, cooked the rings and hardened the seals. Smoked pretty badly and leaked like the Valdeze. It put a new quarter on it, it is in the shop for paint now and I rebuilt the motor with forged pistons, ARP hardware and brand new casting Champion ported heads- plus I reinstalled the Holley the CORRECT way and gave it a proper tuning. I know it's good now :).

I got so screwed on the car. Traded a car that was worth at least $8k for it with it needing quarter, paint and interior but I felt it was worth it because it had a built motor, stall and the Holley in it. Didn't realize that it *was* a decent motor until the moron overheated it running from the cops like an idiot. $5k later and the motor is good to go... I'm sure the trans isn't far behind as hot as he got the motor :(.

Thanks man, that's what I keep telling myself "it'll be worth it in the end". Having a bit easier of a time accepting that than the wife though haha. It's like literally EVERYTHING they touched, they screwed up. Heck, I found this when I pulled the hatch carpet! Can't you at least do a clean job if you're going to cut it??? Looks like they chewed it open with their teeth and it was duct taped shut lol. Anyway, sorry for the thread jack. I've been planning on starting my own one of these days.

I guess they where looking for a quick aces to the fuel pump some people are freeking idiots,that it all can be welded back if you have aces to a welder and a little bit of skill even if you have to grind the weld a little bit you will never known it was cut.Dont forget to remove the fuel tank first good luck .

hey be on top of it, anything on a car could be fixed and made better .

Yeah, I'll admit, I've cut an access in F bodies to do fuel pumps before too but I at least do it cleanly and I could never bring myself to do it to a TTA... This was just a butcher job. I've thought about welding it and such but figure since it's already cut I'll just run with it. I'm going to clean up the opening and use a section from a donor car. I'll use a gasket and rivnuts to make it a bolt in and as clean and "oem like" as possible. It's a fairly well modded 116k mile car, so I'm not hell bent on a full on concours restoration or anything.
