UPDATE ON #77 (PIC HEAVY)

Heres a couple more pics, interior almost done door panels are left and a few interior screws I need to purchase.

I did drive it around for about 10 mins on country roads, no insurance or tag yet, till shes done. Do have a couple questions, now that I drove the car.

1 - Vac is around 16-17 idle is that normal for a TTA? I did replace all vac lines.
2 - At idle the 2nd fan never turned on, well today at about 210 temp it turned on and after I turned off the car it stayed on for about 10 mins, normal? Never turned on when I turned on the AC, even though the AC does not work. Im sure it has a 160 stat, at idle before always stayed around, but it is 105 degrees outside right now.
3 - Odometer does not move, not to worried about this as I will replace the stall, but just the gears?

Coming along nicely! As far as the temps of the engine. Even on a real hot day I don't like the engine to get much over 190. Usually stays in mid 170 to mid 180 range. I drove mine in this heat today and it was at 182 cruising around.

I got a Caspers fan mod on mine and I use it sometimes to keep both fans running all the time.

They say that when these engines are running cooler the better they run, anything over 190 or so you are loosing power!:thumbup:

Anybody know around where the vac should be at?
 
Agree with you on the cooler the better... I use the extender g chip and you can program both fans to run via the scan master... called race mode... any temp outside temp higher than 85 and I put the fans in race mode.... I have a front mount intercooler and a two stage aluminum radiator too... anything to run cooler...

Thanks kris, so looks like Im ok with the vac around there, and yes will look into running cooler.
 
I know there is an electrical switch mod for mostly stock cars that basically keep both fans running all the time to keep it cool... Jan probably knows more about it...

Well finally got the wheels back from the powder coater, not really stock color but close as possible. New lug nuts and center caps. She fired right up, new battery tomorrow and boost gauge will be connected. Also started installing the new headliner and sunvisers, and installed the new carpet and some other interior pieces. Been a long wait but interior will be done by this weekend, then need rear exhaust.

Will also be getting new emblems, and decals, she'll be ready for the street next month, then take care of the small glitches. Let me know what yall think.

As far as the lug nuts and lug nut covers go, another option would be getting them from Rockauto.com, they have both the lug nut covers as well as the lug nuts.

Np Robert long time no talk will be getting new battery and have to redo the IAC and TPS, and yes been a long time.

Mike thanks but Im really liking the gold lug nuts their staying for now but thanks for looking out.
