V6 Engine Cradle?

I want to store my original engine. I've been looking at engine cradles on the Summit and Jegs web sites, but they generally only state that they fit either small block Chevy, big block Chevy or Ford engines.

Are the engine mounts in our TTAs in the same place that they need to be to accept a small block Chevy? If so, any SBC cradle should work and I can go shopping...

This is one time when I can't seem to get a straight answer on TurboBuick.com. A lot of guys have been "home-brewing" solutions with 2 by 8's and home-built frames, but nobody so far has been able to answer the actual question.

I was notified by dr_frankenstein on TurboBuick.com that T/A Performance sells a cradle for the 3.8 for $80. Though it's a little expensive, that's where I'm going.

Also, I measured up the engine mounting points on a small block Chevy and the Buick V6 and there seems to be no compatibility.

Well, it looks like it's about time to start pulling the old engine.. Wish me luck.

Best, Bob
