I am a new member with a new TTA on the way. I say on the way because the car I am waiting to by the seller cannot find the keys. I know the seller for 20 years. He is the original owner and the car has 8200 original miles on it. To say the car is mint is an understatement. Does anybody have any ideas how I can get new keys cut and how to get an owners kit with all the decals? I do hope he finds the keys, I really do not want to him to call a locksmith. I contacted Pontiac only to find out the car is to old for key codes. Also found out decals are discontinued. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Congrats and welcome to the community. As far as the owners kit goes, check ebay, last one I saw went for 495.00, and that was WITHOUT all the stickers. If you just want the decals, check out: http://www.nextgenparts.com and they have, i believe, just the decals for like 229.00 or so. In so far as the keys, hmmmmm, the ignition key has a chip in it and unless you have that key, it won't start. You can however get a VATS (thats what its called) bypass and just use a regular key cut to your key. Hope that helps a bit.

I wouldn't suggest bypassing the VATS but any locksmith that deals with automotive will be able to make a key or any GM dealer. I believe you can get your key resistance from GM via your VIN # and then just have that particular resistance key cut for the ignition. Door keys are different than the ignition key as far as the cut goes also. So you will need both of them to be read and cut.
