HOW MUCH BACK SPACING DO I NEED FOR 15 x 8 RIMS WITH 275x50x15 TIRES?

5.5" back-spacing,BUT, 15" wheels may not fit with your 1LE rear brakes.

Try some of the third gen sites. Make sure you tell them you have the 1LE brakes.

You will have to modify the rotors.

I used 16"x8" American Racing Torque Thrust II.
4 3/4" back-spacing.

I have used a 15" 4 3/4 backspacing Weld Draglite on my GTA's with the 1LE Brakes. On my 87 GTA the wheels bolt up with no problem. In my 91 GTA I had to use a set of GM Wheel Spacers from a 91 Camaro to allow enough clearance for the rear wheels to clear the calipers. I have never had the Welds on the TTA so cant say for sure there.....

GTA's and all other rear disc f-bodies from 1989-1992 had the same rear brakes. The difference between the 1989 TTA's and the 1989 GTA's brakes were in the front only.

I checked my GTA's and neither the 87 or the 91 are 1LE Optioned cars.... so I guess someone just needs to try it. Give me a week or so and Ill try it as my TTA is almost ready to head for home.....
