What is best to use in a Alky system?

I've always used denatured alky. It's easier for me to get than meth.

Thats what I had in mind was using the denatured stuff first, buy a gallon at home depot or lowes.

Then maybe later when I find some methanol try it and see if it runs any different.

Yeah, Julio was telling me about VP racing fuels.

I suppose it probably comes in a 5 gal container.

I found 5 gals of methanol which is 99.9 percent pure. It was around $38. I found it locally at a performance shop.

This is a lot cheaper than using denatured, it is around $15 per gal.

hahaha read the mixture on M5 and report back. It has nitromethane in it.... :thumbup: DO NOT run M5 in your intake.

I really don't know how VP can claim or disclaim who runs what. When I order meth I order it. I never tell them what I am going to run it in.

Yep, your right. They said it had nitromethane as a additive along with something else.

Appreciate the info, I won't be using M5.
