Wheel refinishing project

I just had 4 fronts blasted, powder coated and the lips machined for my GN for $100 per wheel.
The machining came out better then I expected.

I will post pics later.

Here are some before.

Sergeys House of Wheels in North Chicago.

I dropped them off on Saturday and they were done on Wednesday.

Look him up on Facebook if your on it.

Color came out really well and is as close as it can get from what I have to compare with ... some minor tweaks and then they will do both sets I just dropped off ... can't wait to get them back :D

I'm going to try a pressure washer and Purple Power on the back sides to get the brake dust accumulation off. Has anyone tried this?

I am doing four fronts and all i did was spray them with aircraft paint remover, the clear peeled off in 30 seconds, the gold was a little harder, the wheel on the left was sprayed twice, no polish on either yet but i don't think i need to use sandpaper...

No one has ever cleaned the back side of these wheels, the fronts look like new, but, I have 3 deep and 1 shallow. I need to make the decision to go 2 and 2 or all deep. I have plenty of wheels lying around to choose from but now I need to re-do one that matches the rest which may not be easy. I have a lathe that I can turn them on and simulate the "turned look" on the aluminum part.
