HAS ANYBODY USED WHEEL SPACERS FOR THEIR CUSTOM WHEELS?

Depends on thickness of spacer.

I BOUGHT WELD PRO STAR (15x8) W/ 4.5 BACKSPACING. THEY DO NOT FIT. I ORDERED 1/4'' SPACERS FOR CLEARANCE. IS THAT ENOUGH? THE TIRES ARE 275x50x15 MICKEY DRAGS

If they will clear your calipers 4 3/4" should work,but,from what I gather from other posts & users,you may have to grind your your calipers to fit.I have 16"torque thrustII w/ 4 3/4"bs.They work fine.
