WILL 15" WHEELS FIT A TTA?

I have stock TTA and want to put my original wheels in storage and add Centerline AUTO DRAG 15" wheels w/4 7/8" back spacing.
Will these clear the 12" brakes?
Anyone have photos with non-stock wheels on their TTA?

I dont think they will fit without modifying the brakes.

They'll fit but you have to grind the calipers a little. I think that Bogarts or Drag Lights might fit (I don't remember exactly what wheel it is but if you look on www.ls1tech.com and look for the 15" wheel that will fit LS1 cars with no modifying you'll find it).

Julio I believe said the bogarts fit but they are $$$$$. You can always grind down the fins on the calipers but I prefer to not mess with braking.

I don't think there is a chance. I had a set of 15" wheels I used for winter wheels on a 92 camaro. When I upgraded to a 94 LT1 I had a tire shop bolt them on. I went to back out and the wheels were bolted directly to the calipers. I couldn't get the car out of their garage.

As much as like a set of 15" slicks I don't think there is any chance without removing our 1LE brakes. I've looked and there is barely enough clearance for our 16s/

The LS1s use the same or bigger brakes than the LT1s and they've found a select few sets of wheels that will fit without modifying the caliper. They're close, but many people have been able to run them without any problems. If you really want to run them just find a GTA in the junkyard and get the calipers off of it and then grind the fins on those down. I don't think that the rear brakes are 1LE specific, they're on all 3rd gens with rear disc brakes I think.

Didn't they make a huge deal about our brakes having the unique quick change pads like the 1LE cars? I'm pretty certain our calipers are different from a GTA. Hard to find 1LE cars in the junk yard with brakes still left for the taking.

Didn't they make a huge deal about our brakes having the unique quick change pads like the 1LE cars? I'm pretty certain our calipers are different from a GTA. Hard to find 1LE cars in the junk yard with brakes still left for the taking.

I just looked on Advance Auto and as long as it has disc brakes it looks like all Third Gen Firebirds use the same pads, so they should be the same calipers. The front pads are quick change, I don't remember if there rears are or not though.
