I'm sure this has been posted somewhere but I can't find it?
Thanks for input
Used to be a guy in OH that ran ~11.75 @ 117-118 with very little mods. I've lost touch with him over the years but that would be my guess.
I don't think it's a matter of if they will do a certain number stock but a matter of how many time's and stay in one piece... just a thoughtUsed to be a guy in OH that ran ~11.75 @ 117-118 with very little mods. I've lost touch with him over the years but that would be my guess.

honestly i'm glad that one the car will take a beating and two there are people like you left that know what they are talking about, that's why i ask question's hoping to get answers instead of B.S, i'm sure it can be very annoying for someone to ignore good advice and and then ask what side the battery is on.. and the first question everybody ask's is "what can i do to run low 10's" before they even know what size tire's are on it...:lamo:, at this point i know just enough about THESE car's to be dangerous...ok.... I raced my wifes TTA 2 or 3 times a WEEK.. Wed/Fri nights and Saturday test sessions. From 1989 to the mid 90s.. 100k+ miles. Blew 2 headgaskets .. That was it.. Rear end .. ended up with a 9" Ford by 1991. Trans I would R&R it at the beginning of each race season.. Basically check the trans out an reclutch it.. (A haircut and a shave) These cars can take a beating AS LONG AS YA HAVE NO DETONATION !!! ;-) Stock cars were a blast back then. Only thing I would have added to the wifes car is Alky.. Easy mid 11s !! Oh the best thing as that when I sold it I did tell the guy it was my wifes car. Most "assumed" driven like a little old lady.. YES I did give them the history !! Ya should have seen the looks on there face !!
your r right robert :explosion:I don't think it's a matter of if they will do a certain number stock but a matter of how many time's and stay in one piece... just a thought
His name was Brian Lorenzo, ran an 11.7 back in the late 90's on an all stock power train car. Used to have pics. & a write up about it on the old TTA website. Printed out that article years ago and re descoverd it, that's what inspired me to go old school. It worked back then & it will work now. Low 12's high 11's is good enough for me with a 23 year old collectible car. Only difference is back then race gas @ the track was $4 or so a gallon, now its like $9-10 a gallon.
