VIN #'s are random. The cars were pulled off the line and taken to PAS. The only way to find your Build # is by sending a request to Pontiac Historical Services.DontKnow:
Hi Jan,
I made a post that has all the VIN's I have. Hope it helps.
TTA VIN's - Turbo Trans Am Forum

I would say that everybody can add to it and be constantly updated. That way it can be a public data.Neat list Rob. If it is still being maintained I can add to it. Just let me know.
Has anyone that has their PHS info checked the number from Pontiac against the number on this list?
I have the PHS for both my cars, and they both agree with Rob's list. The other numbers I've collected over time(about 40) all agree as well.
Because it could be either. There are many VIN's listed like that. Just needed more info, that's all. I didn't know it, so it has what it could be.Looking at the list, why is there 2 listings for the same vin?

Many places. Got a lot of them from Russ' original site when you could plug your VIN in and get the build number. For sale ads to get VIN's and then try to figure out the build number.Just out of curiosity, Rob. How did you get so many build numbers?
