What size drag radials do you guys like? I'd like to find a 28' drag radial for the original back wheels. Thanks in advance
 
thank you Robert!!! If you dont mind me asking, what turbo are you running and whats your combo? I just ordered a precision 6262 for mine. E85 also with a 911 lockup
 
How about a 28-10-16? Will a 10 inch wide tire rub? I want 28' tall to really run at a roll on the street.
 
Wow! That's a serious combo. I just ordered a precision 6262 billet wheel. I don't have studs on the heads so we will see how Long it lasts. Very excited to get this car done
 
Yeah that 6466 is a downright nasty turbo that Bison built, which is why i will never buy another NIB turbo as long as he is around...
 
the 295/50-16's are 1.6" taller than the 255/50 that we typically run, many have run them with no interference. I'm considering going to a taller tire but I don't know if I want to give gear ratio to do so, but about 1/3 of the time I blow the tires off even after toasting them severely in the water box.
For me though, there would also be another ride on the dyno to change the shift points for the 4L80e. I may just play around with the LCA's angle and the rear shocks to see if I can get the car to hit harder on the 255's and get my 60 foot times under 1.6 for once. maybe unhook the front sway bar too.
 
Bison is the man with turbos. He asks about your combo and you get the turbo that flat out works with your car. How long will my stock tta rear end last if I keep my 60ft to 1.70 and slower?
 
Who knows ? not a matter of if so much as when.. every time you drive it you will want to go faster...:eek:

I've read where some guys on 3rd gen going 1.5x on the 9 bolt and still going, I've also read guys who do nothing but goof around on the street tear them up.
Mine had a catastrophic failure due to a gear lube bottle cap being left in it, and it chunked 2 teeth of the pinion. I fixed mine but pulled it in favor of Strange 12 bolt

there is a cell phone video of it on somebody's facebook page I've been told, and one of me beating my buddy's 680 RWH.P. ZL1 by 2/10ths,that ZL1 is built, but tips the scales at over 4000lbs.
 
We've got a couple GoPros in the group now, and we always seem to forget about using them when we get there. We need to go over on a Saturday T-n-T where there is no pressure to get all the cars down the track 2-3 times in 3 hours. Saturday's are pretty leisurely with time trials going for 6 hours.
 
I will eventually be going to a 9' ford or an 8.8 I've heard is strong also. I'm at my limit for what I can spend this year before my wife breaks a two by four over my head. I'm building my Ttype motor as we speak. Girdled, 9.27-1, hogged out irons and a 6766 precision all on e85. Just got in my TA headers for it. Oh and my ptc 17 blade. Im getting too excited off to bed now!:)
 
Don't take long to spend a lot of $$$... my wife asked me if i was on drugs when i spent $500 on two tires that " doesn't have thread on them " as she put it or you paid HOW much for THAT ?... yeah but i got a hell of a deal dear...:D
 
lol, I just bought 2 turbos and tried to convince my wife it was like getting 2 for the price of one!
 
Getting ready to order the M&H race master 275 55 16. Your sure this fits the factory wheel,and doesn't rub correct?
 
It definitely fits and does not rub! I have a set on mine w stock wheels. No issues at all w them. Very happy w them!
