GM to pull the plug on PONTIAC!!!

You can't run a Car company that lives on style with bean counters & lawyers who are all "party men" and expect SOMEHOW.. the company to survive. Better Pontiac Dies now then entertains any more of these pathetic career managers who are not car enthusiasts & have not vison whats so ever.

The GTA & TTA were probably the last great Pontiac.

Now we will settle back for Chinese made Buicks.. and beleive me they are THERE RIGHT NOW.. with a GM USA generated manufacturing ability that blows the doors off any US plant going, both financially cost effective and productivity... thats if you block out the human factor....!

WOW.. We certainly have lived thru the best of times... Glad I saw it.. sorry for the next generation going in school now... !

Heyyyyy, let's team up with SLP one more time and build a 500 hp G8 "Firehawk".......

and then let's make that Firehawk an $18,000 dollar option on an already $33K to 38K car!!!! :WOOT::WOOT::WOOT::WOOT::WOOT::WOOT:

no, the new Firehawk isn't the only reason, but it's just one of many

I'm sad to see the end of the Pontiac name, but it's been a slow death. The 4 and 6 cylinder cars of today are a far cry from the fire-breathing SD's, HO's, and Ram Air cars that made Pontiac's reputation on the street and strip.
....almost forgot: 67 Catalina convert w/68 RamAirIII motor.

My first car was a 88 Grand AM with the Quad 4, 5 speed, I got into alot of trouble with it haha. When I got in an accident I got a 92 Grand AM, kept that for a few years and then got a better job and have had two chevys since.

Honestly for the first 21 years of my life I didn't picture myself ever driving another brand other than Pontiac.

I also like the G8 GXP but $40k is a bit steep. With the new Camaro now hitting the streets that's another alternative but load up with a 2SS model with a few other goodies and you're fast approaching that $40k mark as well.

Bang for your buck the G8 GT is still looking like a good deal. New '09s can be had for well under $30k and used models low to mid $20k range.
