I really don't think anyone is going to look at it and say, Those numbers are not right! They are like us, just trying to figure it out.:bye1:

Although it would be cool to have it correct, you are right. Half the people don't even know what the car is.

I've been asked before "Wow, did you swap a Grand National motor in this Trans Am?"

It happens a lot with the TTA and the syclone also, they think it a fancy looking S10.

Got the intercooler tags the other day. The first set I received was engraved improperly, the serial # was not the one I requested. Mark from TR Custom Parts got right on it and had the correct ones done and sent. Got it on the car last night. Someday, I'll redo the whole engine and paint the intercooler and put on my new shroud. Just doing improvements to the engine bay look, a little at a time.

Just noticed the engraved text (your serial number etc.) is in black? He must have changed them as when I had him do these originally from a photo and other details I supplied they were just normally engraved (like pictured on his website) which is closer to the originals look ...

Yes, I noticed that too. On the website, the tags for the GN are black and the TTA is just engraved. He has someone engrave them out of Utah, so he probably screwed up again. The first ones had the wrong serial # on them. I could email him and ask why. I could see if he would send me the correct ones. I'll let you know what he says.

So I am guessing the 2nd set I received was a mistake also. So at least he made it right. Now I will have to mount the correct one on the intercooler. So a happy ending to the story.
