Howdy one and all, I'm the guy that found the TTA in the barn that has 985 miles on it. (how lucky was I )I found out about this car a few months ago an finally closed the deal last friday and brought it home Sunday.I will start clean up this weekend an I hope to have it running this coming week. All there is to do is a basic clean up and draining of the old fluids and gas and making sure I get oil up to the turbo. I will post cleaned up pictures asap, and keep you all informed. And to answer the one question everyone is thinking. The purchase price or this unbelievable find was alot less than I'll be selling it for.

Thank you all
Walt

Oh I missed that you were selling/flipping this car, must have read to quickly. I hope it goes to a buyer who will keep it and appreciate it for how rare it is....

congrats!!
I feel the need to apologize if I have offended anyone. The reason I purchased this car is for the investment of such a rare part or Pontiac history. If I can sell this car for a profit all the better, but you all can rest assured that I will take all the care to bring it back from it's 24 year rest.My passion for cars is not unlike yours,I also own a 1971 nova which I show and drag race,a 1947 lincoln flathead v-12 and a 1986 jaguar which I am in the process of restoring. In response to the gentleman who wanted to know how much I wanted for it,I really don't know yet but I do have a local collector who saw it the day I brought it home all dusty and he offered 40,000.Again I apologize if I offended anyone I am truly sorry.

Welcome to the forum Walt.

Thanks to you and Al for sharing your story and we look forward to hearing the full write up. You have found the best target audience. Maybe submit it to High Performance Pontiac too. We would love to see it published in there and give more exposure to these cars.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I know once you having it running again, you will know why we love these cars so much. Please fill us in on the whole story though. We want to live it with you on how you found it, how much you paid for it and what you sell it for. And if someone offered you $40,000 for it, I hope you have his contact info and make a deal ASAP. I would have to say that would be top dollar for it right now.

Awesome find and congrats!!! If you have an offer of 40k, I hate to say it because I love these cars, take the money and run.

I would take the $40K right now as well, unless you want to sit on it until they start bringing the money they deserve to bring. I think we all hope you get $100k since that would give us hope that the market is getting stronger for these cars. :)

Walt,
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your find! It should clean up real nice. How did you find this car? I would really like to hear your story and why the car sat all this time. $40K for it is a very good sale price! What kind of documentation did you get?

I have a Fesitval car as well with 5492 miles on it. It is build number 90 and has a Festival number of 130.

keep the tta it is faster than your nova :)

Nice find! I have sold two TTAs in my lifetime so far, 40k is a pretty damm good offer.
Good luck.

I b ought one of the cars you sold and had to spend ALOT of money to get it to run the way it should.
Now I am forced to sell it due to finding out I have cancer.

Walt....sounds like the car you got was a great find and I too would like to hear the whole story

this find is quite historic.....

Walt, have you been able to get it cleaned up yet??? i'd really appreciate it if you could post a nice close up photo of the markings behind the rear license plate area. i would really help me out, i'm trying piece together the numbers 0 thru 9 in order to help me figure out my missing number for festival car # 7? .....

The car is definately real. Heres a picture of it from the net. You can barely make out the 108. More pictures of Walt loading it can be found on NECamaro-Firebird.org.

That really is an awesome find, but if I were you I'd take the 40K and run! That is as much as one will sell for anytime soon! I'd flip it if I'd found it!

keep the tta it is faster than your nova :)
Obrien,
I do know that the tta is fast,(I had a t-type that ran 11:30's) but the nova runs 10:30's all day with a sbc stroker motor at 132 mph.I think I would have to do a little work on the tta to make it that fast.
